How people learn: A cognitive science perspective

Interested in evidence-based pedagogy? A panel of Michigan State University Cognitive Scientists will discuss what current basic research in learning and memory can contribute to classroom instruction. The panelists will be asked to evaluate, from the perspective of their disciplines, popular views about best classroom practices and optimal delivery of college level instruction. This workshop counts towards the Certification in College Teaching for the Competence Area of Adults as Learners.
