Using iPads to Develop and Distribute E-texts in an Online Doctoral Program

Join Patrick and Robin for a discussion of their program to create and distribute digital course materials for a graduate program in Education in a way that the materials are viewable on iPads. This project is not unrelated to an earlier brown bag that explored a program to provide digital materials for instruction in the medical schools. The differences are that the materials in education were put together and distributed without the direct intervention of MSU Libraries, and are designed explicitly to run on a specific device, the iPad. This session would be particularly valuable to faculty and administrators in graduate and professional programs looking for ways to make readings more accessible to affordable for their students.
