The effect of feedback and revision on the quality of student writing

Providing comments on student assignments is a common method for giving feedback to students. However, this method requires substantial resources, and we lack a complete understanding of the benefits that this feedback provides. Does revision and TA feedback improve the students’ use of language and scientific reasoning? What kinds of TA comments are most effective?  Come find out what one study found.
