Hierarchical Linear Models

This workshop will provide a basic introduction to the hierarchical linear model, a particular class of multilevel models.  We will consider what kind of research problems can benefit from this modeling approach, what a two-level hierarchical linear model looks like, and how we can analyze multilevel data.  A multilevel dataset will be analyzed using a variety of software, including HLM, STATA, and SPSS.  This workshop is most appropriate for those who have a prerequisite knowledge of multiple linear regression and have little or no prior experience with multilevel models
