The Responsibility of Teachers in the Wake of Racial Violence Teach-In

Free registration is now open for The Responsibility of Teachers in the Wake of Racial Violence Teach-In

The Responsibility of Teachers in the Wake of Racial Violence Teach-In joins the peaceful protests inspired by the outrage and growing national discomfort over the persistent pattern of racialized abuse toward Black citizens specifically and communities of color in general. The goal of the teach-in is to:

  1. engage a concentrated and serious dialogue that illuminates the responsibility of educators in the wake of racial violence,
  2. make visible the set of curricular and pedagogical implications stemming from these situations, and
  3. model humanizing, critical and creative curricular and pedagogical activities that educators might implement in their classrooms to address racial violence and heal the wounds of our aggrieved communities of color.

The teach-in is intended for educators at any stage in their academic career, but all are encouraged to attend. Space is limited, so please register today.
