Register to present at the All-Network TAR Presentation Session on April 25, 2016

To register to present your TAR project, you must have a CIRTL account.  To request an account go tohttp://www.cirtl.net/user/register.  Accounts may take up to 24 hours to process.  If you are having problems email us at info@cirtl.net.

Have you recently finished a Teaching-As-Research project? Then you're invited to speak at our All-Network TAR Presentation Session on Monday, April 25! This is an excellent opportunity for presenters to share their research findings and to engage the entire CIRTL Network on your area of expertise. Grad students, postdocs, and faculty from across the CIRTL Network will attend to hear from TAR students and discuss their work. You can read more about speakers who have already signed up at www.cirtl.net/4-25-AllNetworkTAR.

If you're interested in presenting, please complete this form by Monday, April 4 (please note that you do not need awww.cirtl.net account to do this). Once we've received your registration, we will send you additional information regarding session logistics.

In addition to this form, please create and submit three slides that you will use during your five minute presentation. Presenters should offer a basic overview of their projects, leaving most of the session for Q&A. Slides should be emailed to Kate Diamond at kdiamond3 AT wisc.edu by Monday, April 11 (in .ppt or .pptx format).

We ask that presenters use this slide template to cover the following content:

  • Your project title and research question
  • A summary of project design or research methods
  • A summary of a piece of your results and the implications of those findings.

Common questions to prepare for include: What surprised you most in your research? Where were the biggest challenges and obstacles, and how did you overcome them? What do you wish you had known when you began your project?

If you have any questions about the April 25 session, please feel free to contact Kate Diamond at kdiamond3 AT wisc.edu. You can also read more about our TAR Capstone Series at www.cirtl.net/TARCapstone. We look forward to seeing you on the 25th!
