Improving Outcomes in Chemistry Through Holistic Instruction for First-Generation, Low-income, and Minority Students

Successful STEM future faculty must find ways to engage and improve the experiences of first generation, low-income and/or minority students who are increasingly enrolling in institutions
of higher education. This session examines the experiences of faculty and Kearns-CIRTL Graduate Fellows who work with students in semester long workshops to help improve academic performance in chemistry.

Speakers: Beth Olivares and Danielle Daniels, University of Rochester
