Registration Open! The Spring STEM Education Alliance Meeting will highlight the Center for Integrative Studies in General Science (CISGS) and its ongoing efforts to enhance the Scientific Literacy of non-STEM students at MSU. Multiple presenters associated with CISGS will describe a variety of initiatives taking place in CISGS, which are having institutional impact. Topics will include re-envisioning of the Center’s mission, cross campus collaboration and course development, quantitative literacy, information literacy, assessment of student learning, on-line education, accessibility, and course specific approaches to improving student learning in science. The presentations will be approximately 10 minutes long followed by time for questions and discussion. Like previous STEM Alliance meetings, the goals are to improve communication, start conversations, and facilitate collaborations across campus.
