Extracting and Analyzing ANGEL Tracking Data, and Estimating the Effectiveness of Online Materials

Using two economics courses as examples, this session will explain how to extract student tracking data from the ANGEL course management system, and show how we can analyze the data on student "clicks" to understand better how students use online learning resources. In addition to showing the general patterns of resource use, Byron will show how the tracking data can be used in conjunction with student assessment data to measure the differential effectiveness of several kinds of learning resources.
Attendance at this session is limited to members of the MSU community to protect the integrity of the raw data.
